How can I update my Plano luxury home?
Many of the older homes in Plano have great floor plans and are well-built. Exteriors elevations are still popular and can be updated.
The interior is where we can make a big difference and make it look like a new luxury home.

Below are some of the things we can do to update your home:
Update or replace your Kitchen.
Your kitchen is the most important room in the house. It is the most expensive room to redo. Some kitchens might just need to be painted and updated with new lighting, countertops, and backsplashes. Some homeowners might want a complete redo with new cabinets and appliances.

This is a 3D rendering of a kitchen for one of my clients. In this remodeling project, we completely remodeled the kitchen. We took down a wall and put in a laminated beam for support. This opens the living room to the kitchen.
Update your Master Bathroom
A master bathroom is a good room to completely remodel. A master bathroom room is not as expensive to remodel as a kitchen. We are seeing more large showers. The new showers may have body sprays, overhead rain showers, steam rooms, and decorative tile. Lighting is also improved with sconce lights on either side of the mirror for better make-up lighting.

I design the master bath using computer-aided design to show the client would be able to visualize her space. This was a complete master bath makeover.

Rest of the House
If you decide to go with a light theme in the kitchen, we need to blend the rest of the house with the kitchen. We might also need to refinish the floors or replace them, change the light fixtures, and paint, or we might need to do more. It just depends on what you want to accomplish.
Furniture and the finishing touches
Do I have to replace all my furniture?
The Answer is No
A mixture of traditional pieces and pieces with clean lines is a good look. You might replace most of your upholstered pieces to get a newer fresh look. They can have a more transitional styling. If done correctly the mixture of traditional and transitional furniture gives you a very sophisticated look. Add some transitional artwork and accessories; your home will be beautiful.

Updated lighter look. The original bedroom was very dark and heavy looking. We kept the nightstands and lamps and then we recovered their chaise. Then we added a new bed, bench, rug, carpet, bench, and bedspread. We also lighten up the wall color. photo credit: Beth Singer Photography
