Here are some of the different types of colors that are broken into groups by Sherwin Williams.
1. NOIR OR NIGHT includes a pallette of deeper colors such as Mature grape, Dark taupe, Black swan and Spatial white. Dark hues are dramatic and sensuous. This pallette has Nordic blues, moody neutrals and golden yellows.
2. HOLISTIC There are new standards such as sustainable design and radical transparency. Acquiring experiences is becoming popular as our daily transactions move further into the cloud.”Doing good” is the new looking good, and it’s taking the form of “voluntourism,” healing retreats and eco-travel. We’re in pursuit of a fair luxury which of course, is a very elusive idea. This pallette includes arctic neutrals, blush rose and wild browns.
3. Fiery tones and vibrant Kimono colors are in the INTEPID pallette. They have energy and are bright and colorful. The names include Kimono Violet, Dahlia, Emotional, Citronella, Popular Gray, and High Reflective White. This demonstrates the variability of colors available.
4. The UNBOUNDED pallette features earthy mustards, ocean blues, corals and mud colors. The names of the paint colors are Mudslide, Sealskin, Coral Reef, Freshwater, Adriatic Sea and Tres Natural . This color pallette goes along with the idea that we are now unbound by air, water or land.
As we stated earlier, the interior design color trends for 2017 are all about choice and there are many beautiful colors available.
